The Center for Body Computing is an interdisciplinary research and innovation center that works with other USC schools and institutes. The CBC can tap into resources throughout the USC system including the USC Institute for Creative Technologies, Marshall School of Business, Viterbi School of Engineering, School of Cinematic Arts and others to create, study and iterate.
Because the Center for Body Computing sustains a presence at the forefront of digital health and cutting edge technology, we maintain two offices - one at the newly established tech campus of Playa Vista and the other at Keck Medical Center of USC.
The Tech Campus at Playa Vista - The city of Los Angeles has invested substantial development resources into the creation of a hub for established tech companies and start-ups. Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Yahoo and over 600 tech startups call Playa Vista and the surrounding Silicon Beach community home.
Keck Medical Center of USC - As one of the nation's preeminent medical schools and healthcare providers, Keck strives to create global citizens who will become advocates for patients and improve the overall health of society. Keck is home to more than 1500 full-time physicians, 1200 students and 24 research-oriented basic and clinical academic programs.
